Join us to read, learn, and have fun all summer long!

This summer, Delaware County Libraries invites everyone to participate in our Tails and Tales Summer Reading Challenge! There is a challenge for every age group, from infants through adults. Kids can also complete our popular Journey Across Delco from inside the kids’ challenge.

Using Beanstack, which can be accessed via the web or through the app, participants will be able to log books, complete challenges and activities, earn badges, and submit book reviews. Delco residents can pre- register now on our website or in the app and family registration is available so parents can keep track of everyone from one account. The program runs from June 1 through August 22. Be sure to check out our events calendar as well for Tails and Tales related events happening all summer long!

“Participating in summer programming is a great way for kids to engage with their local library and to keep reading and learning all summer long while having fun,” says Delaware County Libraries Director Catherine Bittle. “Adults participating in the challenge can see what others in the County are reading through book reviews and connecting with friends in the app.” This year’s Summer Quest will also include a countywide community goal! We are challenging Delco residents to collectively read 21,000 books in the summer of 2021! Follow our progress from your Beanstack account!
