Delaware County Libraries Participates in County Food Drive

Delaware County Libraries is participating in the 17th Annual County Holiday Food Drive. The food drive is hosted by Delaware County Council, the Department of Human Services, the Department of Intercommunity Health, and Magellan Behavioral Health of PA. All proceeds will benefit the DelCo Inter-Faith Food Assistance Network. Various libraries in the County will be collection sites where you can drop off your donations. For a list of participating libraries, click here.

Last year our libraries collected a total of 1,229 pounds of food for the drive. We hope to collect even more this year! Please join us in donating non-perishable food items to benefit residents of Delaware County. Food items most needed are canned meats (chicken, tuna, turkey, corned beef hash), boxed or canned side dishes (rice or potatoes), unsweetened cereal, canned vegetables, spices, powdered milk, canned fruits, and soups- especially soups with meat. Donations will be collected through December 5, 2019.
