On August 7 over 200 children who participated in our Journey Across Delco and Delco Pen Pal programs celebrated at Rose Tree Park in Media. Librarians from across Delaware County had activities, crafts and games for participants and many pen pals were able to meet those they had been writing to all summer. Delaware County Council generously donated Philadelphia Union tickets that were awarded to those families who visited all 28 libraries in their Journey Across Delco. Vice Chairman Colleen Morrone and Councilmen Kevin Madden and Brian Zidek were able to join us to present the tickets. Children also completed a scavenger hunt which earned them a free book.
